Animal Health Services
Introduction
Working with local veterinarians to provide high-quality veterinary services on behalf of APHA and Welsh Government across north Wales.
As North Wales’ Delivery Partner for animal health services, we play a pivotal role in supporting local veterinary practices to deliver essential statutory surveillance of notifiable diseases, alongside a broad range of regulatory veterinary services that safeguard animal health and welfare.
These services include:
- Service A – Tuberculin Testing of bovine and non-bovine animals
- Service B – Additional veterinary services such as surveillance of diseases including exotic and emerging diseases
- Service C – Emergency support services to respond rapidly in the event of animal health emergencies.
Through close collaboration with government bodies, farmers, and veterinary professionals, we contribute to maintaining and enhancing high standards of animal health and welfare across North Wales.
